Description
This private holiday home has recently been extended and renovated to a high standard in a modern style. The accommodation is all on one level and sleeps up to seven people in four bedrooms. There are three separate living areas; a comfortable living room, a dining kitchen and a delightful spacious sun lounge.
The cottage is centrally heated and has been furnished and equipped with great care to provide all the comfort for your holiday.
There is a large garage outside where bicycles, kayaks/canoes, fishing tackle, outdoor equipment and clothing etc can be dried and securely stored.
The house name translates to “Ocean View” and as it is located just a short distance from the west coast of Barra, the sun lounge enjoys lovely views South West out over the Atlantic. The house is located on the road to the Golf course where you can walk to and take in stunning views to the Atlantic Ocean. From the property you can walk to ‘Seal Bay’ and to the caves of Cleat beach where the filming of the famous, ‘Whisky Galore’ took place.
The site of this property also houses a 2 bed roomed self catering unit that can also be rented.

Fantastic place well looked after. My wife and I took her parents here in June 2010 and we all had a great time. We were well looked after by the owners sister without any hassle. The reason it’s taken this time to review is that we had wanted to book for this year but alas the time we wanted was booked up. No wonder.
I’ve never been inside but have to say it is in a fantastic spot. I’ve lived on Barra for nearly 8 years and would highly recommend it, for it’s beauty, peace and tranquility. Now here’s a strange coincidence Robert Daly of 23rd March……look what my name is!

We have stayed twice at this beautiful house and are heavy hearted each time we have to come home. Beautifully decorated and incredibly comfortable too. Home from home.
Minutes from all local services and a 2 mninute walk takes you to one of the many beautiful beaches that Barra has to offer.
Truely is Barradice in our hearts.

What can I say?
This was a fantastic property, very clean, tidy and well equiped on a fantastic Island.
We would highly recommend Sealladh A Chuan as an ideal comfortable and beautiful base for a holiday on Barra. The weather was extremely kind to us and the beaches are superb.
We shall be returning, still lots to see and do on Barra.
Our family stayed here at the end of September, 2018 for a week and we had an absolutely fabulous time. The house is fantastic, very spacious and comfortable, and very well equipped.
Barra is a very lovely island and Sealladh a Chuan is the perfect place to stay while you are there.

Stayed here for a weekend at the end of August 2020 and was overwhelmed by the sheer beauty of Barradise!! As for the accommodation – wow! A real home from home, with everything you could possibly need. Finished to an extremely high standard Donnie and Anne Marie have thought of everything. With picture perfect beeches everywhere you turn and the most hospitable people you could ever meet, Sealladh A Chuan is the perfect place to base yourself on this wonderful Island that is a ‘have to do’ experience.

A beautiful tranquil spot , superbly equipped house(s)and extremely comfortable . We had a wonderful 10 days , the location is perfect as a base to explore this amazing island . We have travelled the length and breadth of the Hebrides and we saved the best till last . Barra is unique . We can’t recommend the house enough , Anne Marie , the owner , provided all the extras for our toddlers , car seats , cot etc . We are definitely coming back . Budoc Goudie and family .
