Recently refurbished and maintained to very high standard, Sandray is situated off the main road in a quiet location.
Conveniently located in Castlebay, Sandray is only a few minutes from the ferry terminal, shops, hotels, Kisimul Castle and many other local facilities and attractions.
Previously awarded a four star rating, Sandray is open from April to October inclusive and the the rental week starts and ends on a Saturday.
Accommodation
One double room (suitable for the disabled), heated with en-suite facilities.
One twin room, heated with en-suite facilities.
Living room with electric and coal fire.
Colour television with Sky and dvd player.
Wireless internet.
Modern, well equipped kitchen/dining room with washing machine, tumble drier, dishwasher, fridge freezer and microwave.
Car parking.
All linen, towels and electricity are included.
Sandray is available on the day of arrival from 2pm and must be vacated by 10am on the day of departure.
A 20% deposit is due at the time of booking with the balance payable on arrival.
Unfortunately we do not accept pets.
Cancellation Policy
Over 1 week prior to arrival – deposit only.
3 – 7 days prior to arrival – 50% of full reservation tariff.
Under 1 day prior to arrival – 100% of full reservation tariff.
We reserve the right to take any unpaid tariff in full from the original card used to pay the deposit in the event of cancellation, we will notify you of any such charges incurred.
Minimum stay 2 nights, 5% discount given for 2 & 3 night stays and 10% for stays of 4 nights.

Excellent accommodation. Well equipped and very comfortable. Helpful owners.
Four of us have just returned from a fabulous week at Sandray cottage, Barra. Ann and Ronnie, and their son Iain , who own the cottage, are super hosts; so friendly and helpful. The cottage was extremely well equipped and we wanted for nothing. There was always piping hot water and warmth when we needed it. Everywhere is spotlessly clean and the kitchen is lovely. Having 2 bathrooms was nice for two couples to have one each couple. The location is perfect in Castlebay. So quiet, yet near the shop and the restaurants too.
I can truly recommend this cottage as a great place to stay.

My husband and I spent 6 nights here the first week of November. The cottage has everything you need and more. The kitchen in particular is well equipped, which made cooking easy. It is spacious and has a lovely big dinning table. The views out of the kitchen and living window out onto the water and the islands beyond are wonderful. My husband liked to sit at the window and look at ‘his’ view! We were always snug and warm in the cottage and had warm water whenever needed. The place was impeccably clean, too! Having two bathrooms was also a bonus. The cottage is 5 minutes walk from the ferry terminal, the co-op and other shops and amenities. Iain and his family went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed and were quick to respond to any questions we had. Their hospitality was the icing on the cake for our amazing stay on Barra. We hope to be back soon!
