We had a lovely few nights staying at Kinloch caravan at the end of May. We Could not fault the caravan – it was very clean and comfy with everything we needed and lovely views. We really didn’t want to leave after only a few nights and hope that we can return sometime. Thank you for kindly leaving a pint of milk in the fridge – this was very appreciated when we arrived and enjoyed a nice cup of tea!
We stayed at the Kinloch caravan for a few nights in June for the Barrathon. The caravan was excellent (extremely clean and comfortable) and the facilities in the caravan were fabulous especially leaving a fresh pink of milk in the fridge, kitchen roll and a few essential items which were very appreciated after the ferry journey! The location of the caravan is super as it offers very scenic views which were lovely. I would highly recommend staying at the Kinloch caravan and look forward to going back in the future.
We visited Kinloch Caravan over the busy Barrathon weekend, arriving very early morning on race day to find we had kindly been left essentials for breakfast. The accommodation is extremely clean comfortable and spacious (like home from home) and owner could not have been more welcoming! Thank you for a fantastic weekend. We will hopefully be back in 2016!
We stayed in the caravan for three nights in July and everything was great. It was clean and comfortable and had everything we needed. Loved seeing the sheep and horses. Hope to go back again some day. (Visiting from Nova Scotia, Canada)
We had a great five night stay at the Kinloch caravan at the end of October 17. The caravan was very clean and had everything we needed, was great for a quiet ,relaxing break. Castlebay was a short 10 min walk with the shops and hotels . The people were really friendly and helpful. We can’t wait to go back.
We had an amazing time few days at Kinloch Caravan in August 2018. The caravan was very clean and came well equipped with all you would require to cook meals. The caravan had great views of the Loch below and it was nice to wake up to the sheep surrounding it in the morning . The next house along is a pizza shop selling pizza on a Friday and Saturday night (Barra Pizza). The caravan is only a ten minute walk from the Castlebay which had a really good co-op and other shops and cafes.
Barra has some of the most amazing beaches I have ever seen . The caravan has a beach about 10 mins down the road. We had a car to get around the island which was great . The car can be hired from Barra airport . A number of people don’t have a car and walk or cycle round the island . We also went coasteering with Barra surf and coastal adventures . This was a wonderful experience and if you are in Barra I suggest you pop in and see them to see what they have to offer.
Selina is a wonderful host and we want to thank her for the lovely gesture of making us scones and pancakes . It was very much appreciated . I would highly recommend this caravan . We can’t wait to return really soon . Thanks.
Spent very enjoyable week at beginning of June 2019 and found everything we had hoped for. Caravan was very comfortable and extremely well equipped with little extras like milk, cooking oil and paper towels which were very welcome. Selina was very hospitable hostess and delivered home made scones which with her craik were much appreciated. We didn’t hire car but used local buses, once we had deciphered timetable, to explore Vatersay and Barra. Castlebay with shops and eating places is 10 – 15 min walk away but uphill on way home. Would recommend local Dun Ban walk to really appreciate variety of flora and fauna, machair and fabulous views on a good day.
Would thoroughly recommend but don’t expect good broadband and mobile phone access (maybe Vodafone. phone or EE)
We had a very comfortable six nights in Selina’s caravan. She met us on arrival with some very welcome homemade scones, and had already put some bread and milk in the caravan for us. The caravan was very clean and well presented, and was ideally located for exploring Barra or popping down to the supermarket in Castlebay. Selina’s son Donny very kindly allowed us to park our bike in his garage, and both he and Selina were helpful with any questions we had.
Just back from a long weekend in Barra.
We stayed in Kinloch Caravan, very comfortable and spotlessly clean. Ideal for getting to Castlebay and not far from the beach.
Lovely caravan in a lovely spot! Lots of walks, we didn’t have a car with us but made use of the bus. Handy for the shop in Castlebay and even handier for sunset on the beach.
