Description
Grianan is a beautiful bright house in Bruernish overlooking Northbay Harbour on Barra in the Outer Hebrides. The original house was built in the 70s and completely gutted and modernised between 2020-24. See photos of the reconstruction by the dining room table. The name derives from the 295m (968 ft) hill at the centre of Barra which is easily seen- in good weather(!) from the kitchen.
Accommodation:
The house sleeps up to eight and faces North Bay Harbour, and the Traigh Mhor, the airport beach can just be seen as a thin strip of sand in the distance.
There are 4 double bedrooms, 3 of which have sea views. The house is centrally heated and has internet.
Downstairs-
There is a spacious living/dining/kitchen open plan living area.
There are two double bedrooms (the master bedroom has ensuite facilities).
There is also an additional WC and a utility room with a washing machine, tumble dryer and drying rack.
Upstairs-
There are two further bedrooms, a bathroom and an upstairs sitting room. Outside- There is off road parking and a fenced garden
