Two spacious twin rooms with en-suite bathrooms. Gorgeous views over-looking the sea and Bruernish. Use of a large, comfortable lounge. We are close to the Airport and Admhor ferry terminal, and very handy for the Hebridean Way. Perfectly situated for water sports: Kayaking, paddle-boarding and wild swimming. A full cooked breakfast or packed breakfast for early starts is included. Home-made soup and a varied cheeseboard is available in the evening. Packed lunches can be provided by arrangement. Free parking, Wifi, TV. Shower gel and hairdryer in bedrooms. Transfers to and from the airport if required.

Can’t recommend this accommodation highly enough. Our ensuite room was spotless, spotless and very comfortable. Jacqui is the perfect host providing fresh milk and fudge on our tea tray in the room and her evening meals were first class. She couldn’t have been more kind cooking us delicious vegetarian meals and so we ate in all 3 evenings! Would definitely return if we come back to Barra in the future

The spacious bedroom was perfect, with the goodies on the hospitality tray and views to die for. We also enjoyed the convenience of a lovely hot dinner with dessert and coffee.
The location is close to the Eriskay Ferry. We had a very early start on the Oban Ferry so a packed breakfast was great.
Jacqui was a perfect host welcoming us with lots of time to answer our questions.
Highly recommend this lovely accommodation. Our bedroom was very spacious, spotlessly clean and extremely comfortable. We had booked ahead to have a meal in our first evening and Jacqui’s cooking was so delicious we ate in the next 2 nights as well. We enjoyed the little extras that Jacqui provided with our 2 course meals and also the fresh milk for tea/coffees in our room, not to mention the lovely complimentary fudge! Don’t hesitate to book here, Jacqui couldn’t be more kind or helpful.

Absolutely fantastic! We spent ten days travelling on our motorbikes throughout the Isles and stayed in various accommodation, all of which was really good; however, Tigh Grianach was by far the best! Jacqui looked after us so well and made us feel really welcome and at home. The rooms were spotless, comfortable, warm with amazing views. We enjoyed our stay here very much and would stay with Jacqui again in a flash.
Perfect stay… the only thing wrong was our stay duration… we should have stayed longer 😉

INCREDIBLE stay at Jacqui’s B&B. Jacqui is a perfect host, the place is immaculate clean and lovely. Jacqui would do anything to help and make your stay the most enjoyable experience. The situation on Barra is great. Breakfast is perfect even on the day we left very early she had arranged a take away breakfast which was amazing.
The only imperfection in our holidays : we did not allow enough nights on site !!! But we will be back for sure. We recommend 300% and cannot speak high enough of Jacqui and her B&B on Barra. THANK YOU.

Perfect stay in a beautiful location.
We stayed here for 2 nights and found the hosts very welcoming. Our large twin room was very comfortable with a lovely view up the inlet from our balcony. The quality of food was excellent, both at breakfast and dinner. Wi-Fi worked well. Highly recommend this B&B.
We had a two-night stay in this wonderful house. From the minute we walked in the door it felt like home. Rooms were spacious and very comfortable. Jacqui is an excellent host and cook very friendly and gave a lot of advice.
If we ever travel to this area again she would be the first port of call.
We had a fabulous 2 night stay at Ti Grianach, Jacqui was so friendly and helpful. The views are lovely and our room was very spacious and spotlessly clean. The breakfasts and evening meal were delicious – Jacqui is a really good cook. Everything was just perfect and made our stay on Barra memorable.
From initial contact through to our sad departure, Jacqui and Tigh Grianach could not have been better. A lovely host with a lovely house there’s probably nowhere better on the island of Barra. Knowledgeable and informative Jacqui went out of her way to advise and entertain us (though her knowledge of particle physics was lacking!!) An absolute delight to stay here – don’t even consider going elsewhere. Thank you Jaqui.
Please do yourself a favour and stay at Jacqui Grant’s Tigh Grianach Bed and Breakfast. I can only echo the positive comments made by others here as it is a truly lovely place to be. Jacqui is a good cook and is very helpful in ensuring you are put in the right direction the next day for your walk or ferry after a really good breakfast. We were on a tight walking schedule but I would have loved to have stayed longer. Hotel owners, maitre d’s and others could learn a lot by copying Jacqi’s ability to deliver a great stay with grace and humour. Congrats!
Jacqui’s place is a superb place to stay, and she herself is one of the finest, most hospitable hosts we have encountered. We stayed for one night with another couple in the two beautiful rooms upstairs and felt welcomed and very well catered for. The rooms are large and well appointed with spectacular views, a great deal of light, full ensuite bathrooms, loads of electric outlets and coffee/teamaking facilities in each. Jacqui offers a menu with some wide ranging selections which one can arrange beforehand, and we can only recommend her culinary abilities. Breakfast was superb and just what we needed to get us back on our way. Her place is a short cycle or drive from the ferry and close to the airport. Wonderful stay.
Staying at Jacqui’s place was so perfect for our stay on Barra, I can’t believe it. Easy location for discovering all the island’s lovely beaches and other spots of interest, like Cafe Kisimul and the beach airport where we landed. The beach pictured here is very close by and the views from my window were so peaceful… Jacqui made us dinner the first night and it was TASTY – get the smoked salmon salad for some locally smoked salmon. Loved it and she makes a good breakfast, too! Short drive across the causeway to Vatersay where we found a blissful beach of white sand, little boats, and the most beautiful color of sea imaginable. I would love to stay here again with Jacqui for longer to really get settled in and have picnics on every beach. Very good value for a longer stay, as well – thanks for such a wonderful get away!
My wife Mandy and I stayed with Jacqui for 2 nights in June. Our room was very spacious and comfortable with a lovely view from both windows. We had an evening meal on each night of our stay and both were excellent. We particularly enjoyed the Scallops. If we return to Barra in the future we will certainly look to staying with Jacqui again.
We had a wonderful couple of days staying at Tigh Greanach. It was a perfect location for exploring Barra and Jacqui was an excellent host. She provided lots of thoughtful touches, such as fresh milk for the teas & coffees in our room and Jacqui’s delicious home-made Scottish fudge tablet. Our room was very spacious, spotlessly clean and had the most amazing views.

A wonderful 7 night stay with such nice hosts Jacqui and Jonathan. Very comfortable bedroom with beautiful views where we were able to relax perfectly. Lovely cooking . Dramatic flight landing on the beach, 3 day ebike hire and rode round Barra, Eriskay, and part of South Uist. Outstanding boat trip to Mingulay ending up with exciting journey round the south end and up the west coast of the island with thousands of nesting seabirds on magnificent towering cliffs.

5 stars is not enough for this beautiful house. My son and I stayed here for 2 nights as we island hopped along the Outer Hebrides, Barra being our first island we visited. The house was stunning, so clean, spacious, beautiful view out of our bedroom windows, well equipped, bedroom was absolutely massive, and the beds were extremely comfy, we slept so well. Breakfast was brilliant, Jaqcui accommodated for me as I try to eat gluten free, and we opted to pay for 2 x evening meals at the house, and I had spaghetti bolognese both nights (its my favourite meal) and Jaqui made me gluten free brownies and the food was amazing! Jaqcui was an amazing host, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would recommend this house to anyone visiting Barra. We were also lucky enough to see the Northern Lights out our window!! We stayed one night here after arrival with the Oban Ferry for our island-hopping tour. We should have stayed longer, because the location is fantastic and Jaqui such a nice host. We had a spacious room with a wonderful view to the water. Barra is an island that deserves more than a one day´s stay. We marked it for a next time.
We stayed for a couple of nights back in September 2023 – I’d arranged it all in secret for our 30th wedding anniversary. Loads of advice regarding everything I needed to know about Barra.
My wife is still talking about it…. A truly memorable holiday that was absolutely perfect.
Jacqui was the perfect host, and the room was simply stunning. Would obviously stay again without hesitation!
